After their kids moved out of the family home, Paul and Lynn decided it was time for a change. They sold their 90’s brick home and turned their attention to building a modern Australian home with a geometric exterior that would ‘wow’ visitors as soon as they came up the driveway. TIME FOR A CHANGE

“We were looking for a change after twenty-two years raising our three girls in a standard 90’s double brick house. Now empty nesters, we needed a change and something new.

Opportunity found us, we were able to purchase a rare river front block in South Grafton. Given the amazing opportunity to live on the river, we knew we needed to build a home personalised to us for it to be a special place for our kids and grandkids to come home to.”

FIRST IMPRESSIONS COUNT

“The exterior look is the first impression so it had to be fresh, different and very modern.

Our house is also in a semi-rural area so it really had to have a modern Australian look to stand out.

We think the mixture of external products combined with the different roof angles creates a huge impression on arrival.

The exterior gives us the feeling of excitement of being home knowing that we can relax on the deck overlooking the river.”

A MULTI-DIRECTIONAL APPROACH

“We love the multidirectional cladding. The Scyon™ Matrix™ is the feature—it breaks up the horizontal lines of the Scyon Stria™.

We decided to highlight the Matrix by painting the joints, and I the glass timber door and entry deck complements both the cladding styles.”

THE LOOK

“The modern geometric look has created a ‘wow’ factor every time we return home from work. We never get sick of the fresh new look!”
