THE MODERN LOOK

The Home Team is a renovation TV show on channel 10. It doesn’t focus on dramas and contestants. It focuses on how to go about renovating with products, tips and tricks.

In each series they pick a rundown house in a typical Australian suburb. A team of four professionals with the challenge of transforming it into a home in just 10-weeks.

Hosts James Bawden (Builder), Julia Green (Interior Stylist), Anthony Scott (Landscaper) and Leah McLeod (Up-cycling Expert) as they get their hands dirty and transform this dilapidated house into a dream home.

Scyon cladding was used in the home’s main architectural feature, a parapet wall. And Scyon Secura flooring was used to replace the squeaky, swollen particle board substrate floor in the living room. the_home_team_morrabin_renovation_front_yard_before_photo-1 the_home_team_morrabin_renovation_front_yard_after_photo-1-1

The 3.3 meter parapet wall was built to obscure the odd roof line and create a modern facade. The Stria 325mm horizontal cladding is panelised using a Stria Vertical Flashing Stop accessory. Rather than butt-joining the 4.2 meter long boards they were cut to line up with the columns and centre of the double garage door opening.

To mix things up and add some design variation Axon wide 400mm cladding has been used down the side of the garage.
