House 4 contestants are both building professionals, a builder and apprentice tradie became the resident chippies on this tree change season. Before this tree change season, they had recently started their own company Smooth Sailing Designs, and are building their own dream home in Palm Beach QLD.
House 4’s cottage delivers the look of a heritage home, choosing to paint their cottage in Dulux® Lexicon® Quarter.
The dilapidated Queenslander cottage boasts a wraparound veranda and incredible views of the Macedon Ranges. Despite the home’s charm, it took a lot of work to transform it into a house ready for sale.
House 4’s modern extension achieves a light-filled, open-plan living space with grand windows. However, the real show-stopper in the design of their pavilion extension is the board and batten architectural style.

For their game changer idea, House 4 created a tiny home with wheels for their property. With all the hallmarks of sustainability and resilience, this tiny home is clad in Hardie™ Fine Texture Cladding.
